Overview

Live Translation brings real-time audio transcription and translation into your doxy.me calls. As people speak, their words are transcribed live, and when participants use different languages the conversation is translated on the fly so everyone can follow along.

Transcription runs through a provider abstraction that supports multiple backends, and translation is powered by Claude for natural, context-aware results.

How it works

  1. Start a doxy.me call and open Live Translation from the apps dock.
  2. Audio is captured and streamed to a real-time transcription provider (AssemblyAI or ElevenLabs).
  3. Transcripts appear live for each participant in a shared view.
  4. When languages differ, transcripts are translated in real time via Claude and shown alongside the original.
  5. Copy or download the transcript at the end of your call for your records.

How to get started

  1. Install Live Translation from the doxy.me app store.
  2. Start a call from your dashboard.
  3. Open Live Translation from the apps dock — transcription begins automatically, and you can enable translation from settings.
