Overview

Aux Camera lets patients share their phone’s camera directly with their provider during a doxy.me call — no app download required. The patient simply scans a QR code, and their phone’s camera stream appears in the visit in real time.

Perfect for showing a rash, wound, range of motion, or anything else that’s hard to capture on a computer webcam. Patients can switch between front and rear cameras with a single tap.

How it works

  1. The provider activates the Aux Camera extension during a one-on-one call.
  2. The patient scans the on-screen QR code with their phone.
  3. The phone’s camera feed streams directly into the visit.

How to get started

  1. Install the app in the doxy.me app store.
  2. Start a one-on-one call with a patient.
  3. Click Apps and select Aux Camera to generate the QR code.
